These are all the animals that can be tamed so far. Once you fully domesticate the beast, you can bread it for its pelt and its meat. Lox eat Barley and Cloudberries, both of which can be found in the Plains biome. If you manage to get one in, quickly lock it up and begin the day's long track to domestication.

Remember to crouch so that you don't scare the lox.

You can also take a stealthier approach, and leave a trail of Cloudberries and Barley nearby to lure them into a pen. Lox are slow, but they pack a punch, so be careful as you lure them into their pen. Craft a stone pen big enough to house a lox and track one down in the Plains. The lox is massive, and you'll need more than a wooden fence to lock these beasts up. That's a lox, and you can get one yourself by exploring the Plains biome. If you visit the merchant, Haldor, you may have noticed the giant alpaca-looking beast at his campsite. They fight alongside you and are pretty competent warriors, which is great if you're playing alone and need some help handling hordes of Graydwarves. Breeding wolves is an easy way to generate Wolf Pelts as well as Raw Meat, but you can also bring your wolf with you on expeditions. Taming a wolf is dangerous, but it's worth it. You have to supply your wolf with a steady supply of Raw Meat. You must feed your wolf in the same way that you feed your boar, the only difference being its diet. Once you find a wolf, you'll have to lure it into a pen in the same way you lured a boar: Approach the wolf to get its attention, and then sprint for your life into a pen and close it off. Be sure to prepare yourself with warm clothing or frost resistant potions before attempting to court a wolf in the mountains. Their bite is fierce, so approach with caution. Living in the Mountain biome, wolves are fierce warriors, and won't hesitate to take you down on sight. Wolves require much more TLC than the boars.
